Dr. Nicole Hewitt
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Nicole Hewitt graduated from Pacific University in 2012, completed her residency in Ocular Disease and Refractive Surgery at Eye Care Associates of Nevada in 2013 and completed a low vision observer-ship at the Center For The Partially Sighted in California in 2015. She has practiced all over Vancouver Island, and has been practicing with Dr. Morin, Dr. Joslin & Associates at their Sooke Location, since 2015.
Dr. Hewitt provides comprehensive eye exams on patients of all ages, from 6 months to 100 years! Her unique training has led her to develop a special interest in ocular disease and low vision. When Dr. Hewitt is not at the office, she enjoys snowboarding and listening to podcasts.
Dr. Chris Hewitt
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Christopher Hewitt began his post-secondary studies in Calgary graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology. He then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree in Oregon at the Pacific University College of Optometry.
His optometric interests include ocular disease management, primary care optometry, contact lenses and pediatric eye exams. When not working, Dr. Hewitt can be found skiing, lifting weights, and spending time with his wife.
Dr. Carli Mann
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Carli Mann was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and began her Bachelor of Science degree at Mount Royal University majoring in Health Science. She graduated from Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Vision Science as well as a Doctor of Optometry degree.
Through her comprehensive training, Dr. Mann focused on fitting specialty contact lenses, ocular disease management and low vision, and pediatric eye examinations. In her free time, Dr. Mann enjoys hiking, knitting and kayaking. Growing up, she spent every summer vacationing with her family in Parksville and exploring the surrounding beaches and forests. She is looking forward to returning to Vancouver Island to provide eye care for the community.
Dr. Sarah Barber
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Sarah Barber attended Optometry school in the United Kingdom at Cardiff University and graduated in 2014 earning her BSc in Optometry. After graduation, Sarah practiced as an Optometrist at Boots Opticians in England for approximately 4 years. Following this Sarah attended New England College of Optometry in Boston, where she completed the Advanced Standing International programme and graduated in May 2021 with a Doctorate of Optometry. She is delighted to now return to Vancouver Island where she grew up and where her family is from. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, hiking and is currently learning to play the ukulele.
Dr. Louise Morin
Doctor of Optometry
Dr. Louise Morin graduated from the University Of Montreal School Of Optometry in 1987. After moving to Victoria, she worked with Dr. Malcolm Orr and Dr. Lawrence Brierley in their corneal and cataract surgical practice for several months. Along with Dr. Joslin, she started the Sooke office in 1988.
She enjoys family time with her husband Brian and their two children, as well as cooking and painting.
Dr. Morin is no longer accepting new patients.
